Mumbai Records 17 Luxury Home Sales A Day!

Mumbai’s housing market recorded 3,145 transactions involving homes priced above ₹5 crore during April–September 2026, with a combined value of ₹32,623 crore. The sales averaged about 17 transactions a day, according to a report by Lighthouse Luxury.

Transactions increased 10.5 per cent quarter-on-quarter to 1,651 in July–September, while the total sales value rose 17.1 per cent to ₹17,600 crore. July recorded the highest monthly activity, with 618 transactions valued at ₹6,669 crore.

Demand also extended to the ultra-luxury segment. Homes priced above ₹50 crore recorded 29 transactions worth ₹2,536 crore during the six months, including 20 transactions in the second quarter. 

The ₹5-crore-to-₹10-crore category accounted for the largest share of activity, with 2,212 transactions valued at ₹14,845 crore. At the higher end, homes priced above ₹20 crore contributed 26 per cent of the total sales value while accounting for just 7 per cent of transactions.

The figures indicate that Mumbai’s luxury housing market is generating substantial sales value across price brackets, with a relatively small number of high-value transactions contributing significantly to overall sales. Transaction volumes and values alone, however, do not establish whether the wider residential market is experiencing similar growth.
