Hyderabad is set to host an offshore campus of the University of London, marking a significant step in Telangana’s efforts to attract globally reputed education institutions, according to reports.
The development follows sustained efforts by chief minister A. Revanth Reddy to bring world-class universities to the State, with a focus on improving access to quality higher education and building a strong academic ecosystem.
Reports said the University of London is likely to establish its campus in phases, with initial operations expected from a temporary facility in the city. The institution is also planning a permanent campus in the proposed Future City.
The University of London, which includes globally recognised institutions such as London Business School, London School of Economics and King’s College London, is expected to be among the first international universities to set up a full-fledged presence in Hyderabad.
