CMC Sets July 15 Deadline for Model Junctions, Pushes Civic Works Across Serilingampally
Cyberabad civic body accelerates infrastructure upgrades and service delivery push across Serilingampally Zone with focused monsoon readiness and ward-level interventions.
The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has stepped up efforts to strengthen civic infrastructure and service delivery across Serilingampally Zone, with Commissioner G. Srijana directing officials to fast-track road repairs, waterlogging mitigation, nala development, and sanitation works. The Commissioner also set a July 15 deadline to develop one model junction in each municipal circle.
Chairing a review meeting at the Serilingampally Zonal Office, the Commissioner assessed the progress of civic services, infrastructure projects, sanitation, grievance redressal, and ongoing development works. Officials were directed to intensify field inspections, closely monitor pending issues, and ensure prompt resolution of public grievances.
The Commissioner instructed departments to prioritise complaints received through X (formerly Twitter), MyGHMC, WhatsApp, Prajavani, and other grievance platforms by ensuring timely responses, effective follow-up, and continuous monitoring.
With the monsoon underway, officials were asked to expedite pothole filling, patch works, road restoration, footpath improvements, nala development, and waterlogging mitigation to improve public convenience and minimise rain-related disruptions.
As part of the city's urban improvement programme, the Commissioner directed officials to complete one model junction in every Circle by July 15 to improve traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and urban aesthetics. Progress under the One Ward Every Day programme was also reviewed, with officials instructed to expedite action on issues identified during ward inspections.
The review also focused on sanitation, with officials instructed to optimise the deployment of sweeping machines, strengthen field supervision, and maintain high cleanliness standards across all wards.
In a move to improve community infrastructure, the Commissioner directed officials to identify suitable sites for developing sports and recreational facilities catering to residents of all age groups.
Calling for greater accountability, the Commissioner instructed departments to submit regular Action Taken Reports (ATRs) and strengthen inter-departmental coordination to ensure timely execution of civic works and effective grievance redressal.
The Commissioner highlighted the need for sustained field engagement, proactive monitoring, and coordinated action among departments to deliver better civic services and improve the quality of life for residents across Serilingampally Zone.
