MMC to Inspect 101 Properties, Verify C&D Waste Clearance During OC Process

Accumulated construction and demolition (C&D) waste, road-margin encroachments and property tax compliance are drawing attention in Moula Ali Circle, as the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) steps up field-level checks across residential and commercial areas. 

MMC Commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy,  conducted an extensive inspection across Antaiah Colony, Bank Colony, Harijan Colony, Officers Colony, R.K. Puram, Shakti Nagar, Santosh Colony and Venkateshwara Colony, directing officials to intensify action on sanitation, C&D waste disposal, trade licences, property taxes and urban greenery.

The civic body will now specifically inspect 101 properties to identify any required revisions in property tax and trade licence tax assessments. Officials have been directed to complete the revisions without delay and check expired trade licences at commercial establishments.

The Commissioner also directed officials to identify properties generating C&D waste and ensure its scientific disposal through authorised Ramky agencies. Unclaimed waste along roads is to be cleared, while concrete ramps encroaching on road margins will be removed.

C&D waste disposal records will also be verified during the Occupancy Certificate (OC) issuance process, as part of efforts to strengthen compliance.

The inspection further covered garbage accumulation, door-to-door waste collection and road-margin cleanliness. Officials were asked to connect unserved households to SAT auto services and impose penalties on residents who do not hand over waste through the designated system.

On urban greening, Vinay Krishna Reddy directed property owners to clear overgrown vegetation from planter boxes within a week. The UBD department and residents were also asked to plant and maintain ornamental or shade-giving trees, while RWAs and commercial establishments will support the installation of tree guards for avenue plantations.
