CMC Removes 290 Encroachments Across 14.1 Km Under ‘Walk Free’ Drive

 Encroachments on roads, footpaths and public spaces are being cleared across Cyberabad as the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) steps up its weekly ‘Walk Free’ drive to restore public access and keep key stretches clear.

The latest drive removed 290 encroachments across 14.1 km in all three CMC zones. The Serilingampally Zone accounted for 85 encroachments across 4.7 km, while the Kukatpally Zone cleared 55 encroachments across 3.1 km. The Quthbullapur Zone recorded the highest action, with 150 encroachments removed across 6.3 km. 

In the Serilingampally Zone, the drive covered Narsingi, Ameenpur, Miyapur and Serilingampally. A total of 33 encroachments were removed in Narsingi, 17 in Ameenpur, 25 in Miyapur and 10 in Serilingampally. 

The Kukatpally Zone covered Madhapur, Allwyn Colony, Kukatpally and Moosapet, with 14 encroachments removed each in Madhapur and Allwyn Colony, 15 in Kukatpally and 12 in Moosapet. 

The Quthbullapur Zone saw the widest enforcement, covering Chintal, Jeedimetla, Kompally, Gajularamaram, Nizampet, Dundigal and Medchal. The action removed 14 encroachments in Chintal, 24 in Jeedimetla, 35 in Kompally, 20 in Gajularamaram, 26 in Nizampet, 16 in Dundigal and 15 in Medchal. 

Commissioner G. Srijana stated that the ‘Walk Free’ initiative would continue across Cyberabad, with regular enforcement and monitoring to prevent re-encroachment and keep roads, footpaths and public spaces clear, accessible and safer for residents.
