Cyberabad Convergence Meeting Reviews 334 Road Works, Flags 245 Stretches for Repairs

CMC, Traffic Police and other departments reviewed key road, pedestrian and monsoon-related issues across Cyberabad, with time-bound action set for critical works.

Road repairs, pedestrian infrastructure and monsoon preparedness came under review at a Cyberabad Convergence Meeting, where the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) and Cyberabad Police reviewed critical works and set time-bound action plans for traffic and road infrastructure.

A total of 334 road infrastructure works were reviewed, including 245 damaged road stretches identified for recarpeting or pothole filling. The review also covered 25 pending foot-over-bridge (FOB) works, 65 signboard and illumination works, 53 footpath and junction works, 13 road-widening proposals and nine road encroachment locations requiring immediate action.

Officials also reviewed 85 waterlogging-vulnerable points as part of the monsoon preparedness measures. Departments were directed to take up field-level action, coordinate on pending works and adhere to the timelines set for completion.

The meeting also focused on pedestrian safety, traffic management and improving road infrastructure, with officials asked to ensure that the decisions taken during the review translate into visible improvements on the ground.

The convergence mechanism will continue to coordinate action among departments and track critical traffic, road infrastructure and monsoon-related issues across Cyberabad.

The meeting was attended by Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh; CMC Commissioner G. Srijana; FCDA Commissioner Sashanka; Water board Managing Director Ashok Reddy; TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil; Joint Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh; along with zonal commissioners, deputy commissioners and officials from CMC, Hyderabad Traffic Police, HMWSSB, HYDRAA and other concerned departments.
