CII IGBC Hosts MP Sustainability Conclave in Indore
The Confederation of Indian Industry–Indian Green Building Council successfully hosted the Madhya Pradesh Sustainability Conclave on April 25, 2026, in Indore, focusing on green growth, climate resilience, and sustainable urban development. The event brought together policymakers, developers, and sustainability experts to accelerate green building adoption across the state.
Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a sustainability leader, with over 510 million sq. ft of green building footprint and 549+ IGBC-registered projects across sectors. Key discussions revolved around policy reforms, energy efficiency, smart infrastructure, and climate-resilient urban planning.
Sanjay Dubey highlighted the state’s commitment to integrating sustainability into governance, including potential incentives for IGBC-rated projects and revised building bye-laws. Parikshit Zade emphasized Indore’s initiatives such as renewable energy adoption, green bonds, and circular economy models.
C Shekar Reddy noted Indore’s leadership in urban innovation and its role as a model for climate-resilient cities. The conclave featured panel discussions and technical sessions on green technologies and sustainable construction.
The event concluded with a strong call for collaboration to drive environmentally responsible and future-ready urban development across Madhya Pradesh.
