47 Illegal Constructions Demolished in 3-Day CMC Enforcement Drive

Unauthorised construction activity remains under focus in Cyberabad, with the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) carrying out 47 demolitions across Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur between September 7 and 9, as field teams continue inspections and enforcement against violations of building regulations. 

During the three-day drive, CMC teams identified 48 unauthorised constructions, served 15 notices and seized one construction, taking action based on field-level identification and verification of violations.

On September 7, enforcement teams identified 15 unauthorised constructions and carried out 16 demolitions. Two notices were served and one unauthorised construction was seized. Serilingampally recorded five demolitions, Kukatpally four and Quthbullapur seven.

The drive continued on September 8, with 14 unauthorised constructions identified and 14 demolitions carried out. Teams also served three notices on the day. Serilingampally recorded five demolitions, followed by four in Kukatpally and five in Quthbullapur.

On September 9, CMC teams identified 19 unauthorised constructions, the highest daily count during the three-day period. Enforcement teams carried out 17 demolitions and served 10 notices, with Serilingampally recording five demolitions and Kukatpally and Quthbullapur six each.

CMC Commissioner G Srijana has directed the concerned officials to maintain close field-level monitoring and ensure that identified cases are taken forward through the prescribed enforcement procedure.

The CMC enforcement teams are continuing inspections across Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur, with officials monitoring cases from identification and verification through further enforcement action to ensure compliance with applicable building regulations.
