CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show Opens With 60+ Developers, Focus on Prices and Demand

Homebuyers can compare projects, prices and housing options under one roof as the CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 opened at HITEX Exhibition Centre on Friday. The three-day exhibition, being held from August 28 to 30, has brought together more than 60 developers showcasing over 300 RERA-approved projects, as Hyderabad’s residential market continues to see demand for larger homes and higher-value properties.

Addressing the gathering, Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, said Hyderabad’s strong business environment was attracting investment and supporting real estate growth. The government, he said, would continue working with the industry to promote trustworthy and transparent development and strengthen real estate as a growth driver under Telangana 2047.

A detailed report on Hyderabad’s residential market, prepared by CREDAI Hyderabad along with real estate analytics platform CRE Matrix, was also unveiled by Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju at the event. The report examines housing supply, sales velocity, unit configurations and market trends across different zones of the city.

The industry, meanwhile, sought government action on pending approval-related issues. N. Jaideep Reddy, President, CREDAI Hyderabad, said the 10% building-permit mortgage should either be removed in view of RERA or reduced to 5%, which would release capital for developers. He also sought faster release of mortgage components, particularly the NALA-linked portion, and permission to pay NALA fees along with the building approval process.

B. Jagannath Rao, President-Elect, CREDAI Hyderabad, said Hyderabad sold more than 26,100 homes in H1 CY26, covering around 60 million sq. ft. of super built-up area. The average home size stood at about 2,300 sq. ft., while the average ticket size rose 10% year-on-year to ₹2.03 crore. He said the market continues to benefit from infrastructure development, employment growth and office expansion.

Meanwhile, K. Kranti Kiran Reddy, General Secretary, CREDAI Hyderabad, said improving transparency in the real estate sector remains a priority, with the industry ready to support action against pre-launch sales. He also stressed the need for continued government-industry dialogue to streamline processes and promote transparent and credible development across the city.

The property show will also feature a series of programmes in association with the Hyderabad Literary Festival, covering the city’s culture, history, people and changing urban landscape.

On August 28, the panel discussion “Finding Home: Making of a City” will examine the role of social infrastructure, city planning, developers and citizens in creating a liveable, inclusive and sustainable Hyderabad.

On August 29, The Little Theatre Hyderabad will present curated readings from writings on Hyderabad by Hyderabadis in English, along with select readings in Telugu and Urdu.

On August 30, a General Quiz with a Hyderabadi Twist, conducted by Lokesh Kaza, President, K Circle, will cover history, culture, sport, science, cinema, literature, music and current affairs, with a Hyderabad connection woven into the questions.

The property show will also host a panel discussion involving industry experts and policymakers on the impact of large-ticket land auctions and the influx of GCCs on Hyderabad’s real estate market. A report on changing buyer behaviour in Hyderabad by Magicbricks is also scheduled to be released.
