Sonu Nigam sells BKC office for ₹18 crore

Commercial property bought for ₹14.30 crore records 25.9 per cent price increase

Actor-singer Sonu Nigam has sold a commercial office in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex for ₹18 crore, recording a substantial increase over the price at which the property was acquired in 2023. The office is located on the ground floor of Trade Centre in BKC, Bandra East, opposite MTNL. The property has a carpet area of 3,082 sq ft and comes with two car parking spaces. The sale agreement was registered on September 4, 2026.

According to the transaction details, Nigam had purchased the office in November 2023 for ₹14.30 crore. The sale price therefore represents an increase of ₹3.70 crore, or about 25.9 per cent, over the purchase price. At the sale price, the transaction works out to roughly ₹58,404 per sq ft of carpet area. The deal highlights the continued value commanded by commercial assets in BKC, one of Mumbai’s major business districts.

Commercial properties in established office markets can attract both investors and end users because of their location, connectivity and concentration of corporate activity. However, the ₹3.70-crore difference should not be treated as the seller’s final profit. Stamp duty and registration paid at the time of purchase, transaction expenses, taxes, brokerage and other costs would affect the actual net gain.

The transaction nevertheless reflects a sizeable increase in the capital value of the office over less than three years, adding another high-value celebrity-linked commercial property transaction to Mumbai’s BKC market.
