Hyderabad is set to strengthen its position as a global life sciences and biotechnology hub, with the Telangana government focusing on advanced medical research, biologics, vaccines, cell and gene therapies, and treatments for cancer and rare diseases. Inaugurating Theranym Biologics’ ₹1,200-crore manufacturing facility in Sangareddy, IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the State is developing a comprehensive ecosystem that supports the entire value chain—from research and development to commercial-scale manufacturing.

The Minister highlighted key initiatives such as the Life Sciences Policy, One Bio Hub, Green Pharma City, and the Life Sciences Hub, aimed at enhancing the global presence of the “Made in Telangana” brand. He also emphasized the role of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced genetics, in shaping the future of biotechnology.

The new Theranym facility will manufacture advanced therapeutics for cancer and other critical diseases, export products globally, and create over 1,500 jobs, further boosting Telangana’s innovation-driven growth.
