New Delhi, Oct 17: Zydex Paints has launched NIVO, DRIO and DRIO Max, a range of interior and exterior paints targeting India’s economy-to-mid-market segment.

Powered by its MineraTek technology platform and mineral-modified binders, the range is designed to combine premium finishes with breathability, water repellence and surface protection at competitive prices.

NIVO is designed for interior walls, while DRIO and DRIO Max are intended for exterior surfaces. According to the company, the mineral-based formulations allow trapped moisture to escape while limiting the penetration of external water. The range also incorporates fire-resistant properties.

The company said its products were tested against ASTM E84 requirements for fire performance, EN ISO 7783 for water vapour permeability and EN 1062-3 for water absorption.

Local trials, including tests in Kerala ahead of the monsoon, were also conducted to assess the products’ suitability for Indian weather conditions.

Zydex Group Targets 1% Share

Zydex Group Managing Director Dr Moulik Ranka said the company aims to establish itself as a technology leader in paints and surface solutions through material science innovation and long-term investment.

Zydex Paints aims to capture a 1% share of the economy-to-mid-market paint segment over the next three years. The initial rollout will cover 60 priority markets, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities and selected rural locations.

The expansion will be supported by dealer development, painter engagement, product training, and technical services.

The company said its existing manufacturing capacity can support the anticipated growth over the next four to five years.
