RRR, Future City highway among key proposals

The chief minister also requested the Centre to approve the proposed Future City-Amaravati-Bandar Port Greenfield Highway, envisioned under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. The proposed 12-lane corridor is expected to reduce the Hyderabad-Vijayawada travel distance by nearly 100 km while improving freight movement to Bandar Port.

Revanth Reddy further sought early forest clearance for the proposed Mannanur-Srisailam Elevated Corridor, a project aimed at improving connectivity to the temple town while reducing travel time through the forest stretch. Another proposal discussed during the meeting was a six-lane alternative highway between Hyderabad and Mancherial to ease congestion on the existing Rajiv Highway, one of Telangana's busiest road corridors.

The chief minister assured the Centre that the Telangana Government would undertake the required land acquisition for the proposed projects, expressing confidence that faster approvals would help accelerate infrastructure development across the state.
