Telangana Added Nearly 150 GCCs, Created 1.5 Lakh Tech Jobs in 20 Months: IT Min Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad's growing appeal as a Global Capability Centre (GCC) destination received another boost with global commercial real estate and investment management company JLL inaugurating a 1.2 lakh sq. ft. Global Capability Centre (GCC) for JLL Business Services (JBS) in the city's Financial District. The new facility is expected to accommodate 1,600 employees over the next two years

Located across two floors at Prestige Sky Tech in the Financial District, the centre will serve as JBS's second hub in India after Gurugram and support the company's integrated operations delivery platform.

The facility was inaugurated by Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, who said Hyderabad has emerged as a preferred destination for global investments, driven by its expanding GCC ecosystem.

"For years, JLL has been the compass guiding global companies towards the right investment destinations. Today, that compass points to Hyderabad, and for good reason," the Minister said.

Highlighting the state's investment momentum, Sridhar Babu said Telangana has attracted nearly 150 Global Capability Centres over the last 20 months, creating more than 1.5 lakh high-value technology jobs.

He said the state's GCC strategy is focused on creating future-ready employment opportunities as artificial intelligence, automation and global restructuring reshape the technology sector. While many technology companies worldwide are restructuring and consolidating traditional IT operations, Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad continues to attract innovation-led GCCs that drive investment, strengthen economic resilience and generate high-value jobs.

The Minister also noted that these investments are helping position Hyderabad as a long-term destination for global businesses, while supporting demand for premium commercial office space and fostering a strong ecosystem for technology-driven enterprises.

The new JLL facility adds to the growing concentration of multinational GCCs in Hyderabad's Financial District, one of the city's largest Grade A office markets, further strengthening its position as a key commercial real estate hub.
