Hyderabad in world’s 100 best cities
Hyderabad has been ranked among the world’s 100 best cities in the World’s Best Cities Report by Resonance Consultancy and Ipsos Market Research. Securing the 82nd position globally, Hyderabad stands out for its strong tech ecosystem, rapid growth in IT, biotech, life sciences, and its globally celebrated food culture. The city also earned the 50th spot in the Top 100 Tasty Cities list by TasteAtlas, reinforcing its status as a global foodie destination.
Hyderabad has once again earned global recognition. The city has secured a place in the list of the world’s best cities. Among the four Indian cities that made it to the list, it is notable that Hyderabad is one of them.
Resonance Consultancy and Ipsos Market Research jointly evaluated a total of 276 cities for the World’s Best Cities Report and released the rankings. The assessment was based on 34 different categories, including factors such as livability, lovability, and prosperity.
London, known as the “Capital of Capitals,” secured the first place for the 11th consecutive year. New York ranked second, followed by Paris, Tokyo, Madrid, Singapore, Rome, and Berlin.
In the list of the world’s best 100 cities, Bengaluru ranked 29th, Mumbai 40th, and Delhi 54th, while Hyderabad secured the 82nd position.
In the Best Cities survey conducted by Resonance Consultancy and Ipsos Market Research, four Indian cities secured positions in the global rankings. Among them, Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru emerged as the top-ranked Indian city. Thanks to its strong tech ecosystem and expansive corporate base, Bengaluru achieved the 29th position globally.
Mumbai, the country’s financial capital and a major hub for jobs, cultural activities, and innovation, secured the 40th spot. Delhi ranked 54th, supported by its political significance, excellent connectivity, and rapidly developing infrastructure.
Hyderabad, which is growing as a major centre for technology expansion, IT services, biotechnology, bulk drugs, and life sciences, secured the 82nd position.
Overall, Hyderabad surpassing other major metros like Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata has been met with appreciation across sectors, including real estate.
Along with this, Hyderabad has earned yet another rare distinction. In the list of the world’s Top 100 Tasty Cities, Hyderabad secured the 50th position. The city is not just an economic, business, and technology hub — it is also gaining worldwide recognition as a paradise for food lovers.
With its rich blend of Mughlai, Arabic, Turkish, and Persian culinary influences, Hyderabad has carved out a unique place on the global food map. Iconic dishes such as biryani, Irani chai, haleem, mirchi ka salan, and Osmania biscuits continue to attract tourists from across India and abroad.
