PROPERTY PULSE
Telangana's first heart-shaped glass bridge is nearing completion at Ellamma Cheruvu in Husnabad, with authorities preparing to open the attraction after final safety inspections and finishing works. Even before its inauguration, the project has drawn widespread attention on social media, generating interest among tourists, photographers and travel enthusiasts.
The bridge spans about 150 metres in length and 1.5 metres in width, standing nearly 20 feet above the lake. Constructed using high-strength transparent glass panels, it is designed to offer visitors panoramic views of the water while creating the experience of walking above the lake. The project is part of a broader effort to develop Ellamma Cheruvu as a tourism destination.
The surrounding area is being upgraded with a Bathukamma Ghat, landscaped gardens, walking tracks, decorative lighting, selfie points and other visitor amenities to encourage recreational and weekend tourism. Officials expect the attraction's distinctive heart-shaped design to make it a popular destination for families, couples and photography enthusiasts.
The project will also support the local economy by creating opportunities for tourism-related businesses and employment.
