Fast-Track Relief for 22-A Land Cases

Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has directed officials to fast-track cases involving properties listed under Section 22-A and ensure that genuine applicants are not denied registration merely because a property appears on the prohibited list.

During a teleconference, the Minister said every case must be examined individually. Officials have been asked to verify the reason for the 22-A classification, relevant revenue records, current land status, ownership documents and previous registrations before taking a final decision.

Where registration is legally prohibited, applicants should be clearly informed of the reasons and eligible registration fees refunded as per rules. The Minister said the government would protect both citizens’ property rights and government land through a transparent and legally compliant process.
