Innovation, AI-Driven Design & Industry Collaboration to Define IIID Showcase Insider X 2026

Announcing the Hyderabad Regional Chapter (IIID-HRC) flagship biennial exhibition, IIID Showcase Insider X 2026, Architect N. Praveen Kumar, Chairperson, IIID-HRC, said good design enhances quality of life, supports sustainability, improves productivity and contributes to economic growth. He noted that India is transitioning from a consumer of global design ideas to a creator of innovation and intellectual capital across architecture, interiors and manufacturing, with growing global recognition for Indian talent.

He said Hyderabad reflects this shift as a hub of creativity, entrepreneurship, technology and design, adding that IIID Showcase Insider X aims to bring together ideas, talent, innovation and industry on a single platform, encouraging collaboration and dialogue to strengthen the design ecosystem amid rapid changes driven by technology, sustainability and evolving lifestyles.

Meanwhile, Architect Naveen Chalasani, Co-Convenor and Treasurer, IIID-HRC, said the 2026 edition introduces a dedicated design stream for architects and designers, expanding participation beyond exhibitors to include curated showcases of independent design work. He said the platform also places strong emphasis on emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, across architecture and interior design.

Naveen added that a digital entry system has been introduced for exhibition halls to enable seamless access and tracking for visitors and exhibitors. Chalasani said the integration of AI, home automation, sensors, and digital solutions reflects shifting industry trends aimed at improving efficiency and user experience. He also noted that the exhibition, curated by IIID-HRC designers, brings together professionals, trade members, and students, with strong visitor participation expected from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and neighbouring regions.

Ramesh Patel, Vice Chairman (Trade), IIID-HRC, said the Insider Tech platform at the biennial showcase enables exhibitors to present new products directly to architects, interior designers and industry professionals, making it a key interaction point for vendors and the trade community. He said the exhibition, featuring over 150 to 200 brands, allows visitors and end users to experience materials and technologies firsthand before making project decisions, while the Design Street segment further facilitates direct engagement with architects and designers alongside curated product displays.
