Angel One founder, Chairman and Managing Director Dinesh Thakkar has agreed to acquire an entire residential tower in Mumbai’s Juhu for approximately ₹711 crore, in one of the country’s largest reported individual residential property transactions. The tower forms part of Embassy Terraces, Embassy Developments’ premium residential project on Juhu Tara Road.

Unlike a conventional apartment purchase, the transaction involves an entire ground-plus-seven-floor tower, with a RERA carpet area of approximately 63,000 sq ft. At the reported transaction value, the deal works out to around ₹1.13 lakh per sq ft. Embassy Developments disclosed that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Thakkar on September 22 for the sale of the tower. Reports indicate that the stated ₹711-crore value includes applicable taxes, registration charges and other transaction costs.

Thakkar has named the residence ‘Angelus’ and plans to use it as his family home. He has cited privacy, expansive space, sea views and an exclusive residential setting among the reasons for choosing the property. Embassy Terraces is being developed on more than two acres on Juhu Tara Road. The project is planned with five towers and around 50 residences, with each floor designed to accommodate a single residence.

The development will offer three-, four- and five-bedroom residences, along with views of the Arabian Sea and Mumbai skyline. Landscaped areas, wellness facilities and other lifestyle amenities are also planned. The project is scheduled for completion in 2029, while Embassy Developments has stated that its overall gross development value is expected to exceed ₹3,000 crore.

The transaction comes amid continued activity in Mumbai’s ultra-luxury residential market, where high-value purchases by high-net-worth individuals have become a significant segment of the market. Market reports indicate that Mumbai recorded 37 residential transactions valued above ₹100 crore since 2025, with a combined value of around ₹5,600 crore.
