Property Pulse
The Telangana government is developing a new road to improve access to Bharat Future City, with an eight-km route being built from the Hyderabad–Nagarjuna Sagar Highway through Thakkellapally towards the proposed development.
The two-lane road, estimated to cost ₹30 crore, is intended to improve connectivity to Future City and nearby industrial areas, where development activity is beginning to gather pace.
1,000 acres get access
Around 1,000 acres in the Thakkellapally area has been allocated to 10 multinational companies. With construction and industrial activity expected to increase, the companies require road access for transporting machinery and construction material.
Following requests from the companies, work has been initiated on the new route. It will pass through Kurmidda and Tatiparthy villages, with the existing single road being widened into a two-lane road.
Alternative to Tukkuguda route
The Tukkuguda–Meerkhanpet road is currently an important access route to Bharat Future City. Rising construction and industrial activity is expected to increase the movement of heavy vehicles in the area.
Future link to radial road
The government is also planning to integrate the new route into the wider road network around Future City.
