TG Sanctions ₹20 Crore for NAC Skill Centre to Build Construction Workforce in Manthani

The Telangana government has cleared ₹20 crore for a National Academy of Construction (NAC) Skill Development Centre in Manthani, Peddapalli district, marking a push to build a skilled workforce for the state’s construction sector.

The administrative sanction was issued through G.O.Rt.No.396 by the Transport, Roads & Buildings Department. The government has also permitted the work to be executed through the Roads & Buildings Department without supervision charges.

According to the government order, the sanctioned amount will be met from the corpus fund available with the National Academy of Construction, Hyderabad. The NAC Director General has been directed to take further action on the project.

The proposed centre is aimed at strengthening skill development in the construction sector by providing training in modern construction technologies and practices. It is expected to offer both short-term and long-term training programmes, supporting employment and self-employment opportunities for skilled workers.

The centre is also expected to help meet the growing demand for skilled manpower in the construction industry and create opportunities for trainees to secure placements with companies in India and abroad.

Welcoming the government’s decision, Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for approving the project.

Sridhar Babu said, “The NAC Skill Development Centre will serve as a key hub for construction-sector skill development for the youth of North Telangana, improving their employability and creating opportunities for them in the sector across India and overseas.”
