26 Unauthorised Buildings Demolished, 39 Notices Served in Two-Day CMC Enforcement Drive

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has intensified enforcement against unauthorised under-construction buildings across its limits, following the directions of Commissioner G. Srijana.

On the first day of the enforcement drive, teams identified 38 unauthorised under-construction buildings for action. The drive resulted in 28 UC notices being served, one building being seized and nine buildings being demolished.

The civic body has now stepped up the drive further on the second day, with enforcement teams demolishing 17 unauthorised under-construction buildings across all three zones. The demolitions included seven buildings in Serilingampally Zone, two in Kukatpally Zone and eight in Quthbullapur Zone.

In addition, 11 UC notices were served, while 54 unauthorised constructions were identified through MyCURE complaints, Prajavani petitions and field-level identification by officers.

Commissioner G. Srijana noted that under-construction structures are being prioritised as enforcement teams can act before the buildings are occupied, allowing violations to be addressed at an early stage. Occupied or residential buildings will be handled separately, with residents given notices and time to vacate before any demolition.

The CMC is continuing daily field-level monitoring to identify unauthorised constructions at an early stage and take timely action under the applicable rules. Town Planning and enforcement teams have been directed to strengthen inspections and ensure violations are addressed without delay.

The civic body is also acting on complaints about unauthorised structures on public spaces. In one case, officials identified a structure in a park and directed the occupants to vacate the premises before demolition.

Commissioner G. Srijana said daily monitoring will continue across all three zones, with complaints and field inspections used to identify violations and take enforcement action.
