Hyderabad has reinforced its position as a fast-rising global city by securing a place among the world’s leading urban growth centres. According to the Savills Growth Hubs Index 2024, the Telangana capital has ranked fourth globally, reflecting its rapid economic expansion, innovation ecosystem and strong infrastructure growth.

The Savills index analysed 230 cities worldwide based on key parameters such as economic performance, population growth and wealth creation to identify cities that are likely to shape the global economy by 2033. Asia emerged as the leading continent in the rankings, with four Indian cities featuring prominently on the list.

Currently, nearly 55% of the global population lives in urban areas. As per United Nations estimates, this figure is expected to rise to 70% by 2050, translating into an additional 2.5 billion people migrating to cities, further accelerating urban growth and real estate demand.
