R. Upender Reddy, IAS assumes charge as Managing Director, HGCL

R. Upender Reddy, IAS, Joint Metropolitan Commissioner, HMDA, has assumed Full Additional Charge (FAC) as Managing Director of Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) following Telangana Government orders under G.O. No. 808.

Upender Reddy, IAS, Joint Metropolitan Commissioner, HMDA, today assumed charge as the Managing Director of Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), in accordance with the orders issued by the Government of Telangana vide G.O. No.808. The Government order places Sri R. Upender Reddy, IAS, in Full Additional Charge (FAC) of the post of Managing Director, HGCL, with immediate effect.

Soon after assuming charge, R. Upender Reddy held a review meeting with the senior officials and officers of HGCL. He reviewed the ongoing activities, projects and key issues concerning the functioning of the organisation and directed the officials to ensure effective implementation and timely completion of the projects entrusted to HGCL.

As part of his first-day review, R. Upender Reddy also visited various project sites and inspected the ongoing works. He interacted with the field-level officials and reviewed the progress of the works, with emphasis on quality, timely execution and effective coordination among the concerned agencies. The Managing Director emphasised the need for close monitoring of the projects and directed the officials to work in a coordinated and proactive manner to achieve the objectives of HGCL and ensure speedy progress of the infrastructure works.
